Deputy Mayor and Councillor, Mark Taylor will once again be hosting a fundraiser in support of the Myers Automotive Acute Care of the Elderly (ACE) unit at the Queensway Carleton Hospital.
The 2nd Annual Their Time for Care Cocktail Reception is taking place on Thursday October 13th, 6:30pm at Biagio’s Italian Kitchen. This year’s event will be extra special as the “official” opening of the unit is taking place the following day, October 14th!
Last year’s event was a wonderful evening with great food, music and a huge success raising over $10,000 dollars. We are working hard to ensure this year’s event is just as, if not more successful. I am writing on behalf of the Councillor to extend an invitation and am hopeful you can join us this year.
Our City’s population is aging. The ACE unit will be a state of the art facility and offer comprehensive care to our older residents. In an effort to raise awareness about the event and the ACE unit itself attached is a poster with further details which I would appreciate if you could circulate with your contacts, friends and family. Ours will be the first generation to really see first-hand the benefits this style of health care has, as we watch our parents and grandparents age.
