Sewer Backup Meeting with Councillor - Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 6 pm, Location: Room 1A, Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive, Ottawa (Nepean)
Post date: Jan 30, 2018 3:13:21 PM
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Councillor Rick Chiarelli has agreed to meet with residents to discuss the sewer backup that affected more than 45 homes in the Bel-Air community last fall.
The meeting will be on Thursday, February 1 at 6pm in Room 1A, Ben Franklin Place, 101 Centrepointe Drive. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to let the Councillor know how the flooding affected you and your home. Residents will be seeking information as to why the sewage backup happened and what the City is doing to prevent this from reoccurring. Specifically, more information is needed about how much the out-of-service forcemain (pump) at the Woodroffe sewage pumping station contributed to the backup.
Please let the BACA know if you are planning to attend the meeting so that they can reserve an appropriate-sized room. The BACA email address is: belaircommunityassociation@gmail.com
