Post date: May 5, 2016 12:10:51 AM

An information session has been confirmed for discussion of BACA concerns with regard to the NCC pathway corridor that bisects our neighbourhood. Time: 7 to 9 pm, Thursday, May 12 Place: Room 1A, Ben Franklin Place Chambers, Centrepointe Drive Michael Muir, Land Manager, Ontario Urban Lands and Greenbelt Division, will give a talk addressing issues raised by members of our BACA Greenspace Committee, followed by an open session for questions. Of particular importance will be an outline of plans for control of wild parsnip and other noxious weeds within NCC's Woodroffe to Maitland corridor. Additional issues include protocol for use of the paved pathway within this corridor, encroachment on NCC land by property owners along the corridor borders, possible creation of a groomed ski trail around the perimeter of this area, selective planting of native trees, and possible establishment of a few community and/or butterfly gardens within the corridor. The meeting room has a seating capacity of 40, so if you wish to attend, please register as soon as possible by sending an email to:

Allan Donaldson.
